Courses & CE Classes/Electives
Gain internationally recognized qualifications and certification as a natural Animal Heath Coach by taking one of our animal naturopathy courses online.
Online learning, also known as distance learning, correspondence study, home study or independent study, is a non-traditional educational process which exists outside a classroom setting.
A.C.A.N. is a front-runner and the only source for education in true animal naturopathy. We provide affordable, high quality education courses in animal naturopathy and holistic/natural health care.
As in all educational courses/modules you will be required to purchase books and/or DVDs in addition to the course/module fee. The average course materials cost is about $50.00 (U.S.D.) but do note that as you enter other modules the costs may drop as you will have some of the products from previous modules in your possession.
We invite you to take the opportunity to learn, how to prevent disease and aid animals in maintaining optimal health throughout their lives. Whether you are interested in just taking better care of your own dogs, horses and cats or you are considering animal health coaching as a career, we look forward to sharing the extremely powerful ancient philosophy and healing art of naturopathy for animals with our students.
Students worldwide will find our courses invaluable tools for understanding true natural animal health, enhancing your existing health care practices with your own pets, or validating your work in natural animal care. Prospective students can choose from certification courses for the career seeker, continuing education classes for the professional or enrichment modules for the animal lover.
Animal naturopathy courses have become popular today among those seeking a better understanding of true natural health for their companion animals as well as natural animal care professionals looking for a more comprehensive education and certification. Our courses will prepare and qualify you to take the board certification examination to become certified in that field of study as well as being a prerequisite and qualification for doctorate level courses at Kingdom College of Natural Health (The only college of its kind offering doctorate level studies in animal naturopathy).
ACAN’s courses teach you how to support a healthy lifestyle for animals that effectively combines the properties of physical function, immunity and mental wellness. You will receive continuous assessment and instructor feedback to help to keep you motivated throughout the course work.
Payment options are PayPal or sending a Cashier’s Check or Money Order via regular mail.
Upon ACAN receiving payment and registration, the student’s login and educational platform information will be emailed.

Continuing Education or Electives
The American Council of Animal Naturopathy (A.C.A.N.) requires students enrolled in their certifying courses to successfully complete at least one elective course before being eligible to take the board certifying examination.
The American Council of Animal Naturopathy requires those who are certified in animal naturopathy and carnivore nutrition to have completed a minimum of at least 30 Continuing Education (CE) credit hours of A.C.A.N. approved continuing education in order to renew their certification annually.
Those certified in carnivore nutrition are encouraged to take A.C.A.N.s modules – Better Understanding of Vaccines, A Naturopathic Approach to Pests & Parasites and/or Introduction to Natural Healing Modalities as either an elective or continuing education.
Students, consultants and practitioners are encouraged to continue to expand their knowledge in Animal Naturopathy by learning one or more of the different animal healthcare modalities. We believe that it is best to continue to learn and experience how nature works through the various modalities of natural animal health.
Our purpose in requiring electives and/or continuing education is to add to the student/practitioners and/or consultants’ knowledge base. The more you know, the better you can serve animals. Rarely does any single modality stand alone. It is best to have many resources available.
