Certification Programs & Certificate Courses

We invite you to take the opportunity to learn, how to prevent dis-ease and aid animals in maintaining optimal wellness throughout their lives. Whether you are interested in just taking better care of your own dogs, cats and/or horses or you are considering animal health coaching as a career, we look forward to sharing the extremely powerful ancient philosophy and healing art of naturopathy for animals with our students.

Our mission and goal is to empower our students with confidence, through thorough education, to remove fear and enable them to make their own choices that transform the lives of animals and their caregivers with the truth about health.

Natural animal health classes have become popular today  however our classes and courses offer the education that is not merely a “method” to prevent disease but is a lifestyle that will bring about true health and how to maintain it.   For those seeking a better understanding of true naturopathic health for their own companion animals as well as natural animal care professionals looking for a more comprehensive education and certification,  our courses will prepare and qualify the student to take the board certification examination to become certified in animal naturopathy.

ACAN’s courses teach you how to promote and support a healthy lifestyle for animals that effectively combines the properties of physical function, immunity and mental wellness. You will receive continuous assessment and instructor feedback to help to keep you motivated throughout the course work.

Our courses are interactive with discussion/study group and live chats where students can ask questions and communicate with each other as well as with the instructors.

Prospective students can choose from:

  • one of our certification programs for the career seeker
  • enrichment courses for the animal lover
  • continuing education courses for the professional

Continuing Education

The American Council of Animal Naturopathy requires those who have been certified in animal naturopathy to have completed a minimum of  30 Continuing Education (CE)  hours of A.C.A.N. approved continuing education in order to renew their certification annually.

Students, graduates and practitioners are encouraged to continue to expand their knowledge in Animal Naturopathy by learning one or more of the different animal healthcare modalities. We believe that it is best to continue to learn and experience how nature works through the various modalities of natural animal health.

Our purpose in requiring continuing education is to add to the student/practitioners and/or consultants’ knowledge base. The more you know, the better you can serve animals. Rarely does any single modality stand alone. It is best to have many resources available.
